We were incredibly lucky to be returning to Kennel Farm for the second time this year. Our first visit was at the beginning of the year when we took a day trip to Peppa Pig World, and this time we are back just for a mini break because we love it. Â Kennel Farm is just a 2-hour drive from London, meaning it is perfect for a quick getaway.
Kennel Farm is the perfect location for exploring the New Forest, Sailsbury or visiting many famous attractions such as Longleat and Peppa Pig World. Originally a working beef and sheep farm, they diversified into providing accommodation by renovating the existing farm barns and stables. There are no fancy frills at Kennel Farm, just a genuinely nice place to stay with plenty of room and outside space to explore and for little ones to run about.

Kennel Farm Holiday Cottages
Kennel Farm offers three properties within a courtyard. The Old Dairy which sleeps 4-6 people, and The Haystore and The Stables which sleep 2. We stayed in the Old Dairy which was a great size for all 5 of us.
Set over two floors, with each room as big as the next! The downstairs space is great. With an entrance hall and down stairs toilet as you enter, you then head into the lounge which has two triple leather sofas, coffee table and TV/DVD player. There are double doors leading out to the communal courtyard.
You will find a selection of adults’ and children’S DVDs and books, as well as a few toys. These are mainly aimed at the younger age range so we took a few of our own too!
The kitchen is well equipped with everyday utensils and has a table to seat 4. Kennel Farm can provide two high chairs on request.
Upstairs you will find two large double bedrooms, both with a cot. The second bedroom can either have a double bed or two singles, whichever you prefer. Both the bedrooms have en-suite showers. There is no bath in the property.
Outside at Kennel Farm
You are able to explore as much of the outdoor space as you like at Kennel Farm. The courtyard where the barns are situated has a few ride on toys to use as well as a toddler activity frame and slide. There is also a table and chair set for you to enjoy a glass of wine on whilst the children play!
The Animals at Kennel Farm!
If you have animal lovers in your family, then they will love exploring the farm and visiting the goats, pigs and sheep, all of which need feeding! You are welcomed to take food to the animals which is provided by the owners daily. This is one of the main reasons we love staying here, it gives the girls the opportunity to be outside doing what they love – being around animals.
There are great attractions nearby, but if you want to have a chilled day at home, there is plenty of space to walk and explore on your doorstep.
We loved our stay at Kennel Farm and would recommend it to anyone wanting to visit the New Forest or Peppa Pig World. CLICK HERE to book.
