Walking into Peppa Pig World, we were instantly greeted with the all familiar Peppa Pig theme tune, bright colours and excellent attention to detail. Toddlers and small kids will just love it here! There was a real buzz from everyone throughout the day and everyone was in good spirits.
Peppa Pig World, which is located in the village of Ower, near Romsey, in Hampshire, England, have recently launched two new rides in the park; Grampy Rabbit’s Sailing Club and The Queen’s Flying Coach Ride which are both now open to the public. The two rides really bring something different to the already very popular Peppa Pig World and are a fantastic addition.
We were were lucky enough to have been invited by Paultons Park to join in with their press weekend celebrations where we got to spend the day trialling the rides and meeting all of the characters.
It was our first visit to the park so we couldn’t wait to visit. At the time of the trip, the girls were 2 ½ years old and under 1m. Peppa Pig World was perfect for the girls were able to go on all of the rides in this part of the park, they had a great time. We tried the new rides several times, we couldn’t stop them; It was the perfect age to be visiting.

Meeting the Characters
Another highlight of the day was meeting all of the characters. Although a little nervous to start with, by the end of the day they were the twins best friends!

The Two New Rides
As we walked into the press area, the girls eyes lit up as they clocked The Queens Flying Coach Ride and Grampy Rabbit’s Sailing Club ride , and before we could say ‘shall we…’, we were in a queue!
The Queen’s Flying Coach Ride
The ride starts 10 meters in the air on a monorail from the top of the Queen’s Castle in one of her colourful carriages and takes you on a tour of the new area. You get some awesome views across Peppa Pig World and the girls loved looking out and choosing the rides they want to go on. The carriages are able to accommodate up to 4 adults and 2 children and is suitable for the whole family. The Queen just asks that all children under 8 years old be accompanied by a responsible adult while riding aboard her Flying Coach Ride.
Grampy Rabbit’s Sailing Club
The second ride to open was Grampy Rabbit’s Sailing Club ride. I was excited by this one as it looked so relaxing. Suitable for a family of 4, you jump on board a boat and cruise around the lazy river which is based around the castle. Along the way you will bump into all of your favourite characters enjoying a picnic on Pirate Island! What makes the ride even more fun is that you are all able to interact and laugh as a family; Watching the girls take everything in and get excited about the characters they are seeing. This ride is suitable for everyone, including children who are less than 1 metre tall, provided that children under 8 years old are accompanied by a responsible adult.
New and Old Characters
As well as the two new rides, Paultons Park have introduced some of the newer characters including Gerald Giraffe, Mr Bull, Peppa’s friends on Pirate Island and the Queen of course. There is also a great picnic area with purple Astroturf and a new food outlet called the Queen’s Kitchen which sells a wide range of snacks as well as hot and cold drinks.
