Good Family Hotels in London – Where should I stay in London with kids?

Where you choose to stay in London with kids depends on your budget, age of the children and what activities you want to do – But there are plenty of family hotels in London. If you’re visiting London with toddlers you may prefer a more central location near the main sights and parks so you don’t have to travel much. Teens in London may enjoy the more trendy areas such as Shoreditch or Camden with its famous market.

What is a family hotel?

A family hotel is a hotel which offers family-friendly options, they may have a separate room that is connected to the main hotel room for children to sleep in. These hotels will usually provide things like travel cots so you don’t have to worry about bringing your own. Family hotel restaurants will have children’s menus and bottle-warming facilities. Some will even offer free baby features, like sterilisers and free baby food with adult meals. A family-friendly hotel will also understand that parents would like time alone so they often have playrooms and children-only zones that are completely safe for all ages.

  1. Shoreditch is in Hackney? Is Hackney safe to walk about in? We visited London once and I remember the taxi driver telling us it wasn’t so lovely to visit there. It has been a decade though… maybe things were different? I’d love to return to London for holiday.

  2. Wow what a great and well designed list! We live close to London, but will recommend this list to our friends visiting. It’s so hard to find good, family friendly hotels in the city.
